Trade & Working Capital Operations – Transaction Control Processing


Job Description:


The Trade & Working Capital operations team focuses on developing & delivering business solutions related to the trade finance products offered by banks, including transactions such as import & export bills, foreign bill collection, banker's acceptances/reimbursements, letters of credit and open account trading. The candidate is expected to provide transactional-based expertise to the business to ensure accurate and timely conduct in accordance with ICC guidelines, bank procedures & trade finance policy manual. The role requires a good understanding of risk management, transaction processing, retail banking, wholesale banking, trade settlements and trade processing.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Should be a graduate and have minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Trade Finance Operations and appropriate system knowledge
  • Should have thorough knowledge of ICC Rules used in Trade Finance
  • Should have good knowledge in handling payment messages
  • Should be responsible to complete all the transactions assigned to themselves and process with utmost quality as per agreed SLA
  • Should be responsible for queue monitoring and assignment of transaction to the team
  • Identify any red flags/ OFAC regulatory/AML & Boycott language breach in the transaction
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) followed for the process should be maintained and updated as and when changes occur
  • Actively engage in new deals, attend project management calls and drive smooth migration
  • Should ensure effective adherence to internal policies and other regulatory requirements in the day to day operations
  • Should be responsible to verify and check the transactions comply with JPM policies as well as international rules

The candidate should also possess the following attributes:


  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Focus on BAU and client expectations
  • Ability to multitask and handle high stress while maintaining accuracy in tight deadlines
  • Strong level of proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Self-starter who is creative with a ‘can-do’ attitude and strong work ethic
  • Implementing various best practices and continuously seek out for opportunities to improve efficiencies
  • Industry certification like CDCS & CITF will be an added preference
