Reports To: Welding Supervisor / Maintenance Manager

As a Welder, you are responsible for joining metal parts, fixing and fabricating metal components, and ensuring the structural integrity of metal works. With expertise in Arc, Tig, and Mig welding techniques, you play a crucial role in a variety of construction and manufacturing projects. Your responsibility extends to maintaining the quality of welds, adhering to safety standards, and ensuring the efficient operation of welding equipment.

1. Welding and Fabrication:
   

   
   
   • Perform welding tasks using Arc, Tig, and Mig welding techniques according to project specifications and blueprints.
     
   • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools.
     

2. Quality Control:
   

   
   
   • Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness and ensure they meet specifications and standards.
     
   • Maintain a high level of quality and efficiency in all work performed.
     

3. Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
   

   
   
   • Operate welding machinery and equipment safely and proficiently.
     
   • Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and machinery to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
     

4. Safety and Compliance:
   

   
   
   • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
     
   • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to welding and metal fabrication.
     

5. Collaboration and Communication:
   

   
   
   • Work collaboratively with the project team, providing insights and expertise on welding and fabrication.
     
   • Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other departments to ensure project alignment and efficiency.
     

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in welding is preferred.
  
• Proven experience as a Welder with proficiency in Arc, Tig, and Mig welding techniques.
  
• Familiarity with welding machinery, electrical equipment, and hand tools related to welding tasks.
  

• Skilled in various welding techniques, including Arc, Tig, and Mig welding.
  
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and precision in welding tasks.
  
• Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing and equipment.
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and drawings.
  
• Good physical condition, able to stand, crouch, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
  

• Physical ability to handle heavy equipment and work in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling.
  
• Willingness to work in various environments, including indoors, outdoors, and in potentially hazardous conditions.
  
• Availability for overtime and shift work as required by project schedules.
