About the job Engineer, Planner and Progress Reporting Engineer, Planner and Progress Reporting (Third Party Contractor) Jakarta, Indonesia


Role Purpose:


The Planner and Progress Reporting Engineer support's the Project Controls Manager in maintaining the Integrated Project Schedule and producing timely, accurate progress reporting across the project scope.
The role consolidates schedule and progress information from Company teams and contractors, highlights variances and emerging delays, and provides clear reporting to support project decision-making and management action.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


  • Support maintenance and updates of the Integrated Project Schedule, including package schedules, milestones, interfaces, and critical activities
  • Review schedule logic, float, progress rules, and forecast dates to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Coordinate progress updates from Company teams and contractors
  • Maintain physical progress measurement and prepare S-curves, dashboards, milestone reports, and management reporting inputs
  • Ensure progress reporting is timely, consistent, traceable, and aligned with approved measurement rules
  • Review contractor schedules, progress reports, lookahead plans, S-curves, and recovery plans
  • Verify contractor-reported progress against deliverables, physical evidence, and package team inputs
  • Support critical path analysis, schedule variance assessment, milestone tracking, and interface analysis
  • Provide planning and progress inputs to risk reviews, Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA), CSRA, and project assurance activities
  • Ensure compliance with Company HSSE policies and actively support HSSE initiatives across planning and reporting activities
    

Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:


Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline

Experience:


  • Minimum 810 years of planning, scheduling, and progress reporting experience in oil and gas, offshore, marine, petrochemical, or major capital projects
  • Experience in EPCI/EPC, FPSO, subsea, pipeline, fabrication, construction, commissioning, or offshore installation projects is preferred
  • Experience reviewing contractor schedules, progress reports, S-curves, lookahead plans, and recovery plans in a multi-contractor environment

Skills:


  1. Knowledge
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, progress measurement, physical progress reporting, S-curves, milestone tracking, schedule logic, and critical path analysis
  • Knowledge of integrated cost/schedule reporting, schedule risk analysis, and CSRA would be an advantage

2. Soft & Hard Skills


  • Strong analytical, coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong Excel/reporting capability; Power BI or dashboard reporting experience would be an advantage
  • Able to challenge contractor submissions professionally and support evidence-based reporting under tight deadlines
