NES Fircroft has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and collaborative Area Support Engineering Team Leader to join our client's inclusive and friendly team. This rotational engineering role is based in Basra and offers an attractive contract rate.
As a Area Support Engineering Team Leader you will be embedded in Area operations and report to the Area leadership team for technical Engineering support across a broad spectrum of new and ageing facilities. You will direct a small multidiscipline team of engineers across all areas of technical operational support for tactical field operations activities.
To give you an idea of how this Area Support Engineering Team Leader role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Champion the nationalisation program by identifying and mentoring Iraqi nationals
- Carry out site surveys, preparation of Basis of Designs, Statement of Requirements, Engineering Query responses and Management of Change proposals
- Play an integration role between the field and the central maintenance & engineering teams in developing scopes, provide front line engineering and operations input
- Engineering support to the Area

- A degree or diploma qualified engineer or equivalent work experience in Chemical/Process Engineering or a closely related discipline
- Extensive and relevant industry experience in brownfield Operations engineering support environments
- Industry experience particularly in International multicultural Operational roles across the full value chain of hydrocarbon and water production facilities
