Job Description

The Site Commissioning Lead’s responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting detailed assessment of the work involved in the group and commissioning discipline and assess the available resources and constraints for the execution.

Some key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Lead a team of multi-national discipline engineers and technicians from the company’s contractor, and from their own commissioning team, and supervise the site Precommissiong, Commissioning, and Start-up activities
  • Deputise for the Commissioning Manager during his rotational field break.
  • Participate in subsystem walkdowns to achieve mechanical completion.
  • Ensure that all discipline punch list liquidation is completed
  • Liaise with the commissioning team leads to update the integrated commissioning schedule.
  • Review of commissioning spares list, and identify any deficiencies.
  • Review vendor support list, and update any additional requirements into the project plan.
  • Develop documentation for leak testing and system inerting.
  • Follow vendors method statements, and procedures for media loading etc.
  • Ensure all pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities are carried out safely in accordance with the project HSE plan.
  • Develop the operational test procedures for the produced water, injection water, closed drain, open drain, and sewage treatment units.
  • Has excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Committed to accomplish tasks safely with efficiency.
  • Has a good knowledge of the project completion process, from construction to the completion of the performance test.
  • Is familiar with completions systems, and the completion of the system documentation required (Inspection Test Reports).
  • Has strong operational experience, and is capable of leading the commissioning team during the facility start-up, stabilisation period, and execution of the facility performance test.
  • Ensure that all relevant permits (PTW) are in place with any necessary supporting documentation, including marked-up drawings, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Previous experience with water treatment and utility systems is desirable.
Experience:
  • A recognised technical qualification, although candidates with extensive field and project experience would be considered.
  • Previous project experience as a commissioning site lead or deputy commissioning manager.
  • Commissioning of water injection systems (Including Water Injection Pumps and Storage tanks)
  • Experienced with the commissioning and operation of water treatment systems (IGF & CPI Separators, Nutshell Filters, and Chemical Injection Packages
We are looking for a Commissioning Site Lead with at least 10 years in equivalent roles to work on a rotational basis of 60 days on site – Iraq, 15 days off site.
