Overview

**This position will be physically located in Iraq in support of LOGCAP**


The Production Control Clerk (CCEP) is responsible for inputting data into the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) Logistics Information System (LIS) accurately and in a timely manner. Inputs and tracks man hours for a team or section. Receives, picks-up, stores, inventories and distributes materials required for the maintenance of equipment; capable of moving and loading or unloading equipment, materials, and products; operating or tending equipment used to transfer material.


Works directly with the customer and Maintenance Supervisor to open and close work orders. Maintains work order packets ensuring that all documents are present and completed properly. Will be required to perform research in GCSS-Army to retrieve and compile data for use in required data calls and briefings. Manages vehicle inventory, monitors Government vehicle status, provides maintenance oversight, prepares reports. Prepares vehicles dispatches.

  • Accurately inputs data and functionally operates in the GCSS-Army LIS.
  • Coordinates and expedites the flow of materials, parts, components and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities.
  • Verifies the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records.
  • Examines materials delivered to verify serviceability, correctness and check for damaged goods.
  • Ensures that materiel is appropriately identified and keeps records of goods received.
  • Compiles and records production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed procedures and using various word processing techniques.
  • Calculate such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates.
  • Prepares production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats.
  • Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
  • Processes all work requests within 24 hours of receipt.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
    • High School/GED, 3+ years, Performs complex tasks
    • Requires a minimum of three years of related experience.
    • GCSS-Army Maintenance experience preferred.
  • Skills/Experience:
    • Possess high ethical standards and demonstrate professionalism.
    • Familiar with maintenance regulations; specifically, DA Pam 750-8, Functional User's Manual for The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS).
    • Must have a working knowledge and operational experience with the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) and LIW (logistic Information Warehouse).
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access), SharePoint, and basic Adobe products is required.
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills; ability to interact at all levels.
    • Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable.
    • Able to react to change productively and handle additional tasks as assigned.
    • Working knowledge of GCSS-Army is required. Position requires a general familiarity with computer input elements to perform functional activities such as data entry, data verification, transaction preparation and reprocessing of corrections.
    • Possess the ability to understand SOPs, Work Instructions, Army Regulations, Technical Manuals and applicable Department of Defense forms.
    • Exhibit ability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment. Must be eligible to obtain a forklift operator’s license and have a valid State Driver’s License.
    • Ability to deal with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Capability to work independently or in a team-based, highly collaborative environment.
    • Apply telephonic etiquette when working with customers. Inputting data accurately is a paramount responsibility.
    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Security:
    • Must have or able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
    • Valid state driver’s license is required.
    • Must be able to successfully pass a pre- employment drug screening.
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Working Conditions:
    • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
    • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
    • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
    • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
