Job Duties
  • Leads a multi-discipline Petro technical team to support the evaluation and development of large-scale oil and gas field development projects.
  • Lead all subsurface disciplines including geoscience (Geology, Geophysics, Earth modeling, Petrophysics), Petroleum engineering (reservoir, production, dynamic Simulation) in support of asset optimization and development planning.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight in (i) Integration of subsurface, well, and surface data to identify production enhancement and development opportunities. (ii) Guide development and execution of the asset’s reservoir management plan, depletion strategy, and surveillance programs. (iii) Ensure technical rigor and data integrity across all reservoir characterization, static & dynamic modeling, forecasting, and performance analysis workflows.
  • Act as the primary technical interface with the client’s subsurface and asset management teams.
  • Lead collaboration with production and operations teams to identify and implement production enhancement opportunities. Additionally, translates technical insights into actionable operational and development plans.
  • Provide technical sign off on subsurface technical work, ensuring the subsurface assessment is reliable and development plans are robust.
  • Lead technical engagements, present to and establish strong working relationships with senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Lead subsurface team preparedness for internal and external reviews ensuring work deliverables are robust and fit-for-purpose. Fully support the utilization of technical assurance and peer review across all subsurface activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of subsurface professionals, promoting collaboration and technical excellence.
  • Drive a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and performance improvement. Promote the adoption of best practices, digital tools, new technologies and innovative techniques in subsurface workflows.
  • Provides effective coordination of technical resources working in other Halliburton Product Service Lines and Regions to support assigned Asset technical work.


Qualifications
  • Requires an undergraduate degree in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering or other applicable Engineering discipline and a minimum of 15 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and production roles which may include experience in geoscience, petroleum engineering, field development, technical staff supervision and management.
  • Requires field development and reservoir management experience working directly (preferred) or indirectly on a producing field for an oil & gas operator.
  • Requires supervisory Team leadership experience
  • Extensive experience in clastic and/or carbonate reservoirs; exposure to mature or brownfield assets preferred.
