Wash Rack Attendant

**This position will be physically located in Iraq in support of LOGCAP**

The Wash Rack Attendant is responsible for assisting the supervisor in the day to day operations, maintenance, and repair of the Agricultural Cleaning Site. Capable of the proper use, care and maintenance of equipment and facilities. Assists in maintaining all equipment assigned. Must possess excellent communication skills with the customer. Capable of working independent in lieu of specific instructions to accomplish mission. Safety and environmental conscious at all times.

• Using a good working knowledge of Wash Rack Operations, Quality, Environmental and Safety programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines, and an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced.
• Works with and in conjunction with other departments to accomplish all required tasks.
• Ensures safeguarding of all Army property and equipment.
• Supports the organization’s mission, vision and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: honesty, integrity, and respect while delivering high quality solutions and maintaining a positive attitude and a safe work environment.
• Washes customer vehicles upon entry into the site
• Performs other duties and assignments as required.

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years specialized experience in wash rack operations that includes reclaim water and chlorination injection systems. Must have served in position of increased responsibility encompassing program planning and supervisory experience.
• Skills:
  • Must have working knowledge of wash rack Operations
  • Working Knowledge of Pressure washers
  • Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and storage requirements to meet compatibility of products based on hazard class is required.
• SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible to manage hours of personnel including use of overtime for mission requirements and to the best interest of Vectrus.
• Working Conditions:
  • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Medium and up to Heavy work. Exerting up to 50 pounds to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
  • Required to observe all safety, security, fire, environmental, and health requirements for Retrograde/Warehouse Operations and outside environment.
