Job Overview:
As a Data Engineer at Babil Games, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our games by architecting and maintaining robust data infrastructure solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize data pipelines, ensuring seamless data integration and empowering data-driven decision-making across the studio.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support real-time and batch data processing needs.
- Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes..
- Manage both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Optimize data infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, leveraging cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and integrity of data pipelines.
- Maintain data warehouses for analytics.
- Set up real-time data streaming systems.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and recommend innovative solutions to enhance data capabilities.
- Monitor in-game data performance and user experience in real-time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Database management systems (DBMS) like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
- Data warehousing solutions Google BigQuery, Snowflake or similar experience.
- Real-time streaming platforms like Google DataFlow, Apache Kafka or similar experience.
- ETL tools and services like Apache Airflow (DAG), AirByte or similar experience.
- SQL for database management.
- Python, JavaScript (e.g, Node.js) for data pipeline development.
- LookML for Looker (optional)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Passion for mobile gaming and a solid understanding of gaming culture and trends is a plus.
