Job Description

Job Summary: As a Safety Officer in our company, your primary responsibility is to develop, implement, and oversee safety procedures to ensure a secure workplace environment. You will conduct risk assessments, train staff on safety protocols, and enforce compliance with safety regulations.


Responsibilities:


  1. Safety Policy Development:
  • Develop and update safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, specifically tailored to the mattress manufacturing or distribution environment.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
  • Conduct regular risk assessments of work areas, machinery, and processes to identify potential hazards.
  • Implement measures to mitigate risks and prevent accidents or injuries.
Training and Education:
  • Provide safety training to employees, emphasizing safe work practices and procedures related to handling machinery, materials, and equipment specific to the mattress industry.
  • Conduct safety inductions for new hires and ongoing refresher training sessions.
Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, conducting inspections and audits to monitor adherence to protocols.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, or near-misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Emergency Preparedness:
  • Develop emergency response plans and procedures, conducting drills to ensure readiness for emergencies such as fire, chemical spills, or medical incidents.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
  • Generate reports on safety performance, trends, and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements Urgently  needed  for one  of  the  manufacturing  companies  in Marka :
Safety Officer with the following Qualification :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Certification in workplace safety is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Safety Officer or in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, regulations, and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and training skills to effectively convey safety information to employees.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and safety management software.
