The SQL DBA will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of the SQL Server database systems that support our business operations. Should have a thorough knowledge of SQL Server architecture, installation, optimization, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability, performance, and security of SQL Server database systems.
• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances on Windows Server.
• Implement backup and recovery procedures, disaster recovery plans, and security policies.
• Monitor and optimize SQL Server database performance and query execution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with software developers and system administrators to support their database needs.
• Evaluate and recommend new database technologies and tools. 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL Server database administration.
• Certification in Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, installation, optimization, and maintenance.
• Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and database security.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery plans and backup and recovery procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting and excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics BC or D365 F&O will be added advantage.

This position is full-time and is located in Kuwait. Some travel may be required.
