Job Description

Job Purpose:Manage the banking applications to maintain core code and functions, implement changes as per business requirements and in conformance with the change policy and quality standards and evaluate/research system developments in the local and regional market. Seek services from External Vendors, QA& ISS and IT Ops team. Vendor Management. Enforce compliance and governance.


Accountabilities:


System, Vendor and Business Management 


  • First line of responsibility for the Banking solution- its effectiveness, relevance and innovation
  • To manage the delivery of business change.
  • Support business to understand and prioritize their requirements, explore and explain alternative options and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Production System Support – to ensure 100% uptimes.
  • Obtain updates/changes and arrange for implementation.
  • Provide work schedule with timeline.
  • Obtain requirements from Business groups.
  • Analyze business requirements in the CR and coordinate with vendors for development and delivery.
  • Ensure to test and evaluate patches received from vendors before submitting for UAT.
  • Ensure all the applications has the DR capability and within BCP plans.

ØExhibit strong leadership by managing performance, developing and motivating staff.


ØEnsure to diagnosis & Investigation of issues or changes.


ØAbility to design a solution based on agreed IT architecture.


ØAbility to understand Business requirement document and recommend changes and system enhancement.


ØManage the technical team/vendor and their development goals.


ØMaintain the culture of GB and promote a high-performance work environment Policies & Procedures:


ØRecommend improvements to departmental policy and direct the implementation of procedures.


ØEnsure compliance with all CBK, CMA, GB operational procedures, Risk and AML policies.


a)Education / Qualifications:bachelor’s degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science.


Knowledge:


·Technical applied experience working in one or more of these domains – technology, applications and its architecture.


·Strong knowledge on different technology frameworks.


·Sound techno-functional knowledge banking concepts and how they lend to system design and operation for risk, finance and compliance aspect.


·Good knowledge of systems development lifecycle, business continuity planning, IT Disaster recovery, information security principles and techniques, third party vendor management and IT General controls


·Extensive knowledge of IT security issues, threats and vulnerabilities


Experience: 12+ years in IT and 4+ of similar experience in financial institutions.


b)Accreditation / Licensing:


PMP, ITIL, CISA, CSM, CSPO
