Primary Objective


  • Ensure process design integrity while leading the process engineering group on specific projects.


  • Responsible for the progress and quality of assigned tasks within the process area, including the supervision of engineers and design teams.


  • To ensure all work carried out conforms with agreed codes and practices, meets all requirements of the contracts specification and ensure all work is carried out within agreed schedules, budgets and procedures.


What You Will Do


  • Ensure work is carried out competently and effectively, within time and budget constraints, and that project objectives are met.


  • Provide overall supervision of prcoess engineers, designers, and technical personnel during project execution.


  • Ensure the integrity of the work scope and that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable codes and standards.


  • Manage project discipline resource requirements.


  • Design Estimates and production and checking of design documents and drawings.


  • Prepare process discipline cost, schedule, and resource estimates for assigned projects.


  • Management, technical execution and completion of engineering assigned tasks.


  • Assisting the project engineers in the co-ordination and preparation of input into the contract documents for the discipline area, including design criteria, scope of work, procedures and design approach.


What You Will Bring


  • Production and approval of PFDs, EFDs, MSDs, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Data Sheets, calculations and system modelling and simulation.


  • Working to and using the company management systems.


  • Ensuring compliance to company, client, local and international standards as given in the project PEP etc.


  • Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU, etc.


  • Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.


  • Experience working in a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) environment.


  • Demonstrated experience working in the Middle East project environment.


Qualifications / Experience


  • Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university 


  • Minimum 15 years of total experience post graduate studies


  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical industry


  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Design Engineer or equivalent


  • Previous experience working with a contractor or in a comparable delivery model
