About the Team:


We are the CAPS team (CAPS for Compute Aggregation Processing and Storage), part of the EDM (Enterprise Data Management) domain in the Risk and Buy-Side group within the global development department. Our mission is to build and maintain a highly scalable RTETL framework for capital markets solutions (RTETL stands for Real-Time Extract Transform and Load). The RTETL is a flexible and extensible framework, with customizable connectors, capable of handling large volumes of data in real-time.


As a part of our team, you'll work alongside passionate developers, innovative thinkers, and problem-solvers who strive for excellence in every aspect of the application. We foster an environment of collaboration, exploration, and continuous learning.


Your Responsibilities:


  • Build and maintain the RTETL framework: focus on developing and evolving the foundational building blocks on which the RTETL framework is built.
  • Develop and enhance capital markets connectors by adding support for additional source and target systems, including the connection to various MX services and writing data to multiple DB vendors.
  • Improve the RTETL framework’s performance, scalability, fault tolerance, and observability.
  • Participate in design discussions and drive the implementation of complex features.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset by continuously researching and experimenting with new technologies that enhance the capabilities of the framework.

Your Profile:


  • 3+ years of experience as a Java developer.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and distributed systems.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases.
  • Proficiency in Git and Maven.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus.
  • Team spirit and collaboration.

« Nice to have » skills:  


  • Familiarity with Apache Spark or other big-data frameworks.
  • Experience with ETL frameworks such as Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow, Databricks …
  • Experience in writing performance-sensitive Java code.
  • Experience working with financial datasets, pricing models, or related analytical engines.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • General knowledge of financial markets is a plus
  • Interest in exploring the technical and functional aspects of the MX.3 software
