The Position

Our Global Internship Programme in Innovation & Sustainability #IP2TIS offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry while making a positive impact on the world. As a sustainability and innovation intern, you will work on cutting-edge projects that align with our commitment to environmental responsibility, social impact, and forward-thinking solutions.


Working within Health Systems and Policy at Roche will involve health system strengthening projects aiming to improve patients’ health, while ensuring the ecosystem’s sustainability. The scope of the work includes learning about conceptual frameworks that are utilized within applied health policy work, engaging with internal and external health system experts, and delivering a hands-on project related to Universal Health Coverage. 


When joining Roche as an intern, the local team will make sure that you are well equipped and empowered to learn, connect, deliver, and enjoy your time. You will get the chance to lead meaningful and impactful work, within the field of universal health coverage, and within the Lebanese context.


This internship position is located in Beirut, requiring in person presence. 


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop a solid understanding of a conceptual framework related to applied health policy (more details to be shared upon joining)


  • Apply and tailor the framework to the local context, within the scope of the universal health coverage project. 


  • Re-design the exercise and its learnings as a use case to be further utilized in other contexts/ affiliates, within health systems and policy work.


Who You Are


You are enrolled or completed your  Master’s in health policy, health economics, health management, or public health studies at a university,within the last 12 months and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least 3 months and getting to know the pharmaceutical industry.


Furthermore you are


  • Interested in health systems and policy work, in  driving change and leaving an impact on the local health system. 


  • You are eager to learn, and self motivated.


  • You have the ability to grasp conceptual frameworks and apply it in the real world context to drive change. 


Technical details:


The start date for the internship is 1. July 2024.
