Hivos is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant
Region: Southern Africa
Reports to: Design, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours)
Office: Lilongwe, Malawi
Deadline: 1 April 2026
Role Purpose
The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Assistant will support the Connect, Defend, Act! (CDA) Project to systematically track implementation progress and measure results against the project log frame. The role is responsible for collecting, organizing, and validating monitoring data, supporting indicator tracking and reporting, and contributing to learning and accountability processes. S/He will assist in translating the project’s Theory of Change (ToC) into tangible, measurable indicators for monitoring and evaluation, including conducting analyses and validating indicator assumptions. The M&E Assistant will work closely with program teams to ensure timely submission of quality data to management and stakeholders, and to strengthen the project’s M&E systems and documentation.
