ROLE SUMMARY



The Access Strategy & Execution Manager is a hybrid individual contributor role combining field-based access engagement, access account management, and in-country market access leadership.




The role drives business results by engaging with assigned strategic sub-national payer accounts to unlock Pfizer portfolio access, including formulary inclusion and reimbursement. To this end, the Access Strategy & Execution Manager maps assigned payer accounts identifying key stakeholders, understands long-term payer value drivers and needs, and develops and implements customized strategies to achieve optimal access in these accounts.




The role is accountable for driving optimal patient access, securing reimbursement, generating and translating value propositions into tangible account-level outcomes. The role bridges national access strategy with local payer execution.




ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES




Field-Based Access & Stakeholder Engagement (30%)




  • Lead engagement with key public and private payers (MoH, ANAM, CNSS, HAS, private insurers, hospital groups… )
  • Build and sustain relationships with sub-national payer stakeholders
  • Deliver tailored value propositions supporting reimbursement and enlisting
  • Generate actionable payer insights

Access Account Management (30%)



  • Own and execute access plans for priority accounts and ecosystems (Public health entities, private hospital groups, GSTs…)
  • Segment and prioritize accounts based on access potential
  • Develop account-specific strategies aligned with national priorities
  • Drive innovative partnerships (Contracting, access models, pathway optimization…)
  • Collaborates with cross-functional team and field colleagues to ensure alignment and consistency in approach and messages regarding assigned sub-national payer accounts

Market Access Strategy & Execution (20%)



  • Support pricing and reimbursement processes and negotiations
  • Contribute to value dossier localization and HTA readiness
  • Co-develop and execute strategic access in country plans and drive educational activities for payers and experts
  • Represent Access in cross-functional teams
  • Feed payers insights into strategic planning (unmet needs, interests, and decision-making processes)

Value Creation & Innovation (20%)



  • Identify access barriers, propose innovative solutions and coordinate with A&V Lead to achieve formulary inclusion in assigned sub-national payer accounts,
  • Develop data-driven value narratives
  • Support HEOR and evidence generation
  • Contribute to innovative access models aligned with health system priorities

QUALIFICATIONS




Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare science (or equivalent). Business Management degree is an advantage.
  • 3-5 years of business experience in pharmaceuticals, including Market Access and account management.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, reimbursement process, healthcare systems, local laws & regulations and reimbursement process.
  • Strong external stakeholder engagement capability
  • Knowledge of HEOR/HTA and value-based access
  • Proficient in written and spoken French and English.
  • Experience in vaccines, oncology or RD is a plus

Account Planning




Analyzes and understands assigned payer accounts interests and needs, and aligned with Pfizer priorities, creates mutually beneficial account strategic goals and implementation plans that optimize access and deliver improved outcomes




Delivers with Payers




Has ability to demonstrate impactful negotiation skills through the application of a structured approach in payer engagement. Has ability to engage payers by facilitating open discussions and to communicate value proposition and value stories, technical evidence and data in a compelling way tailored to the specific payer interests and needs of any given account managing and identifying innovative approaches to ensure timely access of Pfizer’s treatments to patients.
