Job Title: Demand Planner North Africa


Location: Casablanca, Morocco (Hybrid)


Job Description


This role is an Individual Contributor role who will have operational leadership of Supply and Demand Planning Processes at Galderma NWA.  


The Successful candidate will have experience across planning AND customer service domains and will provide exceptional business partnering internally, and ensure Coordination and collaboration across extended supply chain partners (Customers and Manufacturing Sites).


Key Responsibilities


Responsible for driving and implementing business strategy for cluster of markets


  • Drives S&OP drumbeat & governance model oversight for Supply/All BUs.
  • Developing effective forecasting models based on industry best practices funnelled through a holistic S&OP
  • Risk assessment and mitigation (potential risk on supply / overstock) through close monitoring of inventory at all nodes in the supply chain (Factory / Distributor Stock)
  • Improve demand forecast accuracy through collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Put in place continuous Improvement model for S&OP to enable supply chain maturity.

Independently Lead and Execute Customer Service Operations for the Cluster


  • Ensure smooth order creation & processing in coordination with plants and customers.
  • Coordinate and monitor import/export restrictions, bank compliance, and local market regulations.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Commercial teams on financial delivery, risk identification and mitigation.

High level of Collaboration across Suppliers and Customers. 


  • (Phase In Phase Outs, New Launches, Distributor Service Levels, Inventory Health, OOS Minimization)
  • Partners with NWA Leadership team to build on and improve process for robustness.
  • Will partner with leadership teams to grow cluster revenue through geographic expansion processes by being the interface between strategy, manufacturing and commercial teams.

Critical Performance KPIs:


  • Forecasting (FA & Bias),
  • Availability Metrics Distributor (OTIF, DOH)
  • Stock Provisions & Non Performing Inventory

Skills & Qualifications


  • Solid background in Commercial Excellence within different markets
  • Proactive and able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • 5-8 years in a Supply Chain Planning role (Demand or Production) AND in Customer Service Operations at a reputable international firm. Consumer Goods and Pharma professionals will have an advantage but candidates with backgrounds in any other industry may apply.
  • S&OP Leadership must be present in prior experience – either by running an E2e process, or at minimum leading Demand Review meetings for a Cluster/Business Unit.
  • The successful candidate must have hands on experience of Importation laws and regulations into African markets including but not limited to Letters of Credit, Import Permits, Preferential FTAs and coordination with suppliers on documentation (BLs, DOs, COA, COO … )
  • Prior Experiences of working in Matrix organizations will be highly advantageous for a successful candidate.
  • Fluent be in English and French. Arabic would be an advantage
