Coordinate with Agents, Vessels and Terminal Operators regarding safety precaution matters and ensure compliance to Safety and Security standards for vessels, cargos and Terminals Operators are observed at all time.
Participate in setting up the Harbour Emergency Response Plans, coordinate with other marine and SIP HSE departments to prepare the pre-planned emergency responses check lists and required cards.
Advise all parties on safety in accordance with the applicable Inter / national regulations and follow up, update, and monitor the safety policies for the port users in line with any recent changes.
Advice the Harbour Master if abandon traffic / cargo operation is necessary with supportive evidence from safety policies or IMO regulations.
Responsible for tracing fines from overloading or illegal safety action, pollution or contamination of any real or personal property.
Carry out regular inspection and counter checks on the vessels and terminals safety checklists on all of safety precautions, dangerous goods, waste management, oil pollution and keep the necessary log books, checklists and reports in line with defined guidelines.
Inspect dangerous goods on board and at terminals, to ensure that the packaging is intact and that the detailed cards needed are in accordance with the IMDG code and other safety publications pertaining to dangerous goods.
Inform Agents, Vessels and Terminals Operators of the location and means of communication with fire, medical and other emergency contacts and services keep up to date information.
Coordinate with the Government concerned parties for the approval and the acceptance of the dangerous goods in port areas, check all special documents for dangerous goods are provided and inspect the storage areas at Terminals as found necessary.
Lead the development and maintenance of a comprehensive filing system (Hard & Electronic copies) for ease of retrieval.
Carry out all routine checks on ships and terminals security plans and report on compliance to defined standards.

Statements and Reports
Prepare sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet SIP Group and department requirements, policies and standards.
High diploma in maritime field or a relevant discipline.
0-2 years’ experience in a similar function.
Knowledge in dangerous goods, HSE aspects and its quality management standards, interpretation of METEO Hydro geographical data, general port management operations, ISPS Security standards and International port related regulations, port infrastructures and its usage, etc.
