A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
Supervise and lead a team of laundry staff, ensuring they understand their responsibilities and perform their duties effectively. Plan and schedule staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage and maximize productivity. Train new employees on safe and efficient laundry procedures, including the proper use of machinery and chemicals. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of linens and other textiles, placing orders as necessary to ensure the uninterrupted flow of operations. Inspect finished products to ensure adherence to company standards of cleanliness and presentation. Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring the highest level of service. Maintain a clean and organized laundry facility, promoting a safe and healthy work environment. Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of chemicals. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of laundry services and meet customer expectations. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the laundry industry Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving set targets Extensive knowledge of laundry operations, including various cleaning techniques, machinery, and chemicals Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high-quality work and meeting customer specifications Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of quickly identifying and resolving operational issues Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures, ensuring compliance in all aspects of the job Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and other departments Flexibility to work on weekends or evenings, if required.
