About the Role
The Cloud Cost Management Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing cost management strategies for the company's IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS infrastructure. This includes developing and maintaining cost models, developing scripts and using tools to automate cost management processes, identifying and tracking cost drivers, developing reports to track and analyze IaaS cost, and identifying opportunities for cost savings. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, knowledge of IaaS cost management tools, and some prior experience of success in reducing costs.

Responsibilities:


  • Implement system and tools to track and analyze costs to identify opportunities for cost savings


  • Implement cost management strategies to reduce costs


  • Develop and maintain cost models for the company's IaaS infrastructure


  • Develop scripts and use tools to automate cost management processes.


  • Identify and track cost drivers.


  • Develop reports to track and analyze IaaS costs.


  • Provide recommendations for improving IaaS cost management.


  • Communicate with stakeholders on cost management initiatives


  • Work with stakeholders to understand their cost management needs.


  • Stay up-to-date on the latest IaaS cost management technologies and trends.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field where programming was part of the curriculum


  • 2+ years experience in software development with one year of experience in IaaS 


  • Strong analytical skills


  • Understanding of IaaS technologies and pricing models


  • Knowledge of IaaS cost management tools and some experience is highly desirable


  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills


  • Strong communication and presentation skills


  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
