JOB TITLE: Corporate Lawyer

REPORTS TO: Team Lead


PURPOSE:


As an In-House Lawyer, your primary responsibility is to provide expert legal counsel and support to our organization on a part-time basis, ensuring compliance with legal requirements while fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment. This role particularly welcomes women returning to their careers, offering flexible working hours. Your contributions will be pivotal in managing legal affairs, collaborating with external advisors, and guiding various departments to navigate complex legal landscapes. By leveraging your expertise in contract, employment, and corporate law, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our interests and promoting sustainable growth.


SSI is seeking a skilled In-House Lawyer to join our team on a part-time basis (2 days a week). This role is ideal for women who have taken a career break and are looking to resume their career with flexible working hours. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Collaborate closely with external legal advisors to oversee and manage legal affairs, offering expert guidance and support.
  • Skillfully review, draft, and negotiate customer contracts and employment-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Provide comprehensive advice on corporate law matters, including compliance and governance issues, to promote organizational integrity.
  • Ensure strict adherence to relevant laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks and safeguarding the organization's interests.
  • Offer timely and strategic legal support and guidance to various departments as required, facilitating informed decision-making and problem-solving.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Possession of an LLB/LLM degree from a reputable institution, demonstrating a strong foundation in legal principles.
  • Proven track record and practical experience in contract law, employment law, and corporate law, ideally acquired through previous roles in legal firms or organizations.
  • Previous exposure to legal practice within diverse settings is advantageous, highlighting adaptability and versatility.
  • Possession of a valid license to practice law in Pakistan is preferred, indicating a commitment to professional standards and ethics.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, enabling effective articulation of complex legal concepts and fostering productive collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks efficiently, showcasing strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Dedication to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, aligning with the organization's values and commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment.
