Job Description:

As a General Manager - Business Development, you will be responsible for driving strategic business growth in the fermentation industry. Leveraging your extensive experience in the field, you will play a key role in developing and implementing business strategies, establishing partnerships, and expanding market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve company goals.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and potential collaborations.
• Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners.
• Lead negotiations and contract development for strategic collaborations.
• Independently identify opportunities and reach out to companies to set up contract work, from CT's all the way to regular contract manufacturing.
• Demonstrate international experience, understanding global markets, and cultivating international partnerships.
• Drive revenue growth and profitability through effective business development initiatives.
• Manage a P&L account, focusing on sales and profit growth.
• Provide leadership and direction to the business development team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications and Experience:

• PhD in Microbiology/Biochemistry with 10 to 15 years of experience in the fermentation industry.
• Proven track record of successful business development and revenue generation.
• Strong understanding of fermentation processes, microbial systems, and related technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Experience in contract manufacturing in the fermentation industry.
