Java Developer - E6087

What You'll Do

• Build platform tools & services to enable product engineering teams to deploy and run their applications (data pipelines, analytical applications, micro services etc) on cloud.
• And often times involves routine grunt work on service requests to assist other teams with platform infrastructure.

What You Know

• A minimum of 8+ years of experience in a computing environment with Java/J2EE/Spring
• Troubleshooting skills, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to solve technical challenges
• Knowledge of microservices development and deployment lifecycle, networking and distributed architecture, security compliance, scalability configurations
• Insights on Service performance tuning and scalability testing / Security compliance / Service Discovery optimizations
• Good exposure to applications built on Java / JEE based technologies
• Demonstrates proficient knowledge of engineering tools (configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers)
• Must have Experience working with RESTful web services (JSON, JWT)
• Must have Experience working with Java Frameworks (Spring, Spring boot)
• Experience on Kubernetes and containerization is highly desirable
• Experience in Cloud Native development is highly desirable
• Experience working with SQL and knowledgeable on relational Database concepts
• Experience with LINUX/UNIX creating basic scripts using UNIX standard utilities such grep, awk, sed, etc.
• Experience in Monolithic Legacy systems migration/redesign is a plus
• Experience working with Version Control tools (SVN, GIT)
• Strong knowledge of software development and project management methodologies is desirable
• Must have experience with Scrum or other Agile processes
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting, and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms

Nice to have
Experience with monitoring and logging tools - Dynatrace, Splunk etc.Exposure to IAM products like Okta.Experience using API Management gateways like Apigee.Experience with Cryptography and Digital Signatures (ECDH, ECDSA, HPKE, JWE)Building automated and scheduled pipelines for analytical processes.

Education

• CS degree or equivalent experience
