Job Summary

If you are a Business Development professional, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a SCADA Business Development Manager to promote and develop the Emerson Oil & Gas SCADA business within Asia Pacific (AP) Region. This role will work independently and as a part of a team to in the promote and sell SCADA solution applications. You will support the AP sales channels in the selling of the Emerson SCADA solution that may include one or more of the following: RTU’s, Flow Computers and ESI pipeline applications. You will also be responsible for the support of the systems engineering teams, regional SMA’s and tendering functions in the project pursuit cycle including but not limited to development efficient design architectures, technical compliancy reviews and DOA support.


In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Test features within our applications in collaboration with other team members.
  • Provide pre and post-sales support for the Emerson sales teams in the identification, qualification, appraisal and pursuit of SCADA Systems orders.
  • Provide technical sales support to the Emerson AP direct and LBP channel
  • Support the engineering teams in SCADA solution proposals and identification of implementation risks, ensuring that they are communicated and discussed with senior management and sales teams during tender development.
  • Assist the Director AP with technical governance of all SCADA systems projects.
  • Provide regular up to date marketing needs and drivers to the PSS Marketing Director.
  • Definition of own work objectives and priorities within the direction set by the Director of Sales or his designee.
  • Undertake sales and technical presentations on site and off site to Customers.
  • Maintains a high degree of industry knowledge and awareness, including trends, technology advancement and promotes Emerson technologies and solutions as appropriate at Trade shows and other technology exchanges.
  • Ability to produce high quality documentation to be presented to the customer individually or as a member.
  • Maintain and develop good team relationships: Peers within PSS, Subordinates, other Emerson Divisions, Emerson support functions incl. HR, trade compliance, legal.
  • Foster good customer and supplier relationships pre and post sale.
  • Improve company position within served market through technical and commercial expertise.
Who You Are:

You Build and delivers solutions that meet customer expectations. You can See opportunities that benefit the customer and gain insight into customer needs. You establish and maintains effective customer relationship and build strong formal and informal networks.


For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Proven 10 years' of experience in the sales and engineering of O&G SCADA and Control projects for both the home and international markets.
  • Experience to include formal definition, design, build and implementation.
  • Good understanding of project end to end delivery including ongoing service management.
  • English and other any Asian language skills
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft software and COTS database technologies
  • Ability to travel extensively (Asia Pacific)
  • SCADA, telemetry, network and programmable devices technologies
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written skills to effectively communicate.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/2015 Quality procedures.
  • International Trade Compliance
