About the position
• Responsible for procurement of Raw Material for regular production & new development &PO releasing based on Plan. • Forecasting the material availability for production and achieving goals related to inventory control • Track Purchasing activity and measurements and analyze on a periodic basis in terms of on time delivery ,cost & quality • Developing and review purchase requests and ensure authorization as necessary to facilitate the timely purchase of raw material • Managing vendor relationships and assist in building effective partnerships • Evaluating vendor’s delivery performance and preparing KPI • Providing status reports to management on overall purchase of material • Maintaining records on purchase price information and supplier database • Localisation/Development of alternative sources for existing raw material. • Inventory Management • Supplier Evaluation on Price, Quality, Delivery, Infrastructure. • Non-Moving Inventory reduction. • PreparingMIS report. Information of PR • PO-GRN cycle for systems. • MIS Report Preparation. • Coordinated with horizontal departments like Planning, Quality, Production and Finance • Responsibility in updating the status of Procurement for the Materials addition, deletion, revisions and other changes done in BOQ by SCM Verifying the vendor documents • Follow • up with finance department for vendor payment • Responsible to conduct Daily, Weekly & Monthly review on Materials availability in warehouse

Organize and optimize the various procurement /logistics solution with suppliers, applying principles / rules.
Pilot the containment, corrective and preventives actions to solve the upstream supply chain issues of the plant using the 8D methodology.
Manages directly the supply critical issues with the suppliers, that are escalated by the stock controllers
Check the effectiveness of the supplier actions
Escalate to SSCMEs for critical supply chain performance issues with suppliers
Monitor supplier Supply Chain Performance @ the Plant-Level and reports it (SSRM, New Reporting)
Be for each supplier the single point of contact in the plant on service performance issues
Train local suppliers on improvement tools and skills : material management, production schedule (MPS, waiting queue)
Conduct 6 sigma projects with local suppliers, when opportune
Conduct Supply Chain audits with local suppliers and follow action plans (can participate to audits with continental or global suppliers )
Contribute to the supplier panel validation launched by the commodity mger (on the supply chain
Procurement management
Can redesign the procurement logistics system (upstream supply chain flows) for a plant.
Can introduce new procurement forms or methods.
Can make a supplier performance diagnosis and co-ordinate an upstream flow action plan.

Supplier Service Improvement:
Interact with key suppliers periodically and appraise them about their services. Receives inputs from quality on supplier performance on parts quality and offer feedback to the suppliers. Work with the suppliers to reduce delivery lead time and maintain lead time as per set target. Support quality team and continually work with the suppliers to improve delivery performance.
Create action plans to improve supplier performance and delivery ratings.
Escalate the major impacting suppliers of the plant to SQ&D team. Full ESSR, ISSR
Reporting
Create the ESSR and ISSR monthly reports.
Outline actions for failures in key performance metrics like ISSR and ESSR etc.
Full Publish reports by the 5th of every month
On-time delivery of plant suppliers: Animates the action plan follow-up with external suppliers to improve ESSR & participates on ISSR improvement with internal suppliers.
Applies the G8D methodology when required (recurring or critical issues).
Checks the effectiveness of the supplier actions.
Supports the containment, corrective and preventive actions (only if escalated by material controller).
Communication on critical issues :
Communicates with the other actors of supplier management:
Supplier leader, SSCME, buyer, material controller, SQE…
Escalates to SSCME the critical issue Fully ESSR & ISSR
Education: Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering in industrial environment on production control, supply chain or logistics.
PGDMM/ PGDSCM will be an added advantage
Job Related Experience: 8-10 years for diploma holder /Minimum 5 years for engineering graduates with experience in procurement in engineering /electricity industry
Demand planning , Forecasting(Kinaxis and other forecasting tools) , supply planning , Inventory Management/ Optimization , SAP MM Module, Supplier management, Order fulfilment ,
Business Understanding: Manufacturing process flow of electrical industry: relevant market knowledge ; process flow of supply chain and trends
Others: Basic computing knowledge is a must
Ability to read, write and speak in English
Ability to speak in Telugu and Hindi
