LDP Logistics, a dynamic Third-Party Logistics (3PL) provider, is seeking a motivated Freight Forwarding Trainee to join our Forwarding team. This entry-level role provides hands-on training in international freight forwarding (Air, Sea, Road), supporting senior staff in managing global cargo movement, ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Documentation: Prepare and manage essential shipping documents (B/L, AWB, Invoices) with meticulous attention to detail.
- Coordination: Assist in booking and coordinating cargo space with carriers and optimizing transit schedules.
- Tracking & Updates: Proactively monitor shipments via the Transport Management System (TMS) and provide accurate, timely status updates to clients.
- Compliance: Support the team in gathering necessary information for customs clearance and understanding trade terms (e.g., Incoterms).
- Communication: Serve as a reliable internal and external liaison between clients, carriers, and customs brokers.
💼 Requirements
- Education: Graduates/Undergraduates Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
- Prior internship experience in the International 3PL / Freight Forwarding / SupplyChain / Logistics industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with shipping lines, carriers, agents, and vendor communication.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, attention to detail and basic problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook).
- Aptitude: Eagerness to learn industry software and demonstrate precision in a fast-paced environment.
