The Warehouse Officer-Maize is responsible for all activities being performed in Maize warehouse at Cornwala Plant.

Core Responsibilities:

Critical deliverables

• Supervise and control receipt of maize/cobs, stacking, storage and delivery to Production.
• Oversee warehouse operations by monitoring safety & security procedures and protocols.
• Arrange alternate proper storage of corn in case specified area is already occupied.
• Manage smooth functioning of corn warehouse and protect the material from adverse climatic condition.
• Manage shelling of cobs and ensure smooth running of dryers.
• Supervise IMS related activities of the WH and monitor overall system being the part of IMS Implementation Team
• Ensure timely movement of corn from outside Godowns to factories.
• Manage crises situation as and when occurred at any location.
• Supervision of Bardana repairing and cleaning of Bardana.
• Supervision of Fumigation and spray of maize/cobs.

Agility and Innovation

• Ensure maintenance of regular periodic reports and statistics
• Mobilize the logistic management for utmost efficiency.
• Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, initiating notifications for repair and maintenance.
• Identify and drive resolution of work hazards, safety risks and improvement opportunities.
• Continuously struggle for improvement without comprising quality.
• Initiate improvement activities in the maize warehouse.
• To follow any special assignment given by the seniors.
• Proactive planning of the seasonal resources i.e., manpower and material.
• Checking of daily report of Maize and Bardana.

People management

• Getting maximum output from labor by making timely decisions for execution of the jobs
• Closely work with 3rd party contractors in execution of various jobs and resolve their issues.
• Ensure problem solving with participation and consultation of teammates.
• Manage proper training of all employees in his area of responsibility.

Qualified candidates will have:

Mandatory requirements:

• Degree of BA/B Sc. / master’s in supply chain
• Work experience of 2-4 years in warehousing.
• English fluency, both written and spoken

Required behaviors and skills:

• Inventory control of maize/cobs.
• IMS Related Knowledge / Computer literacy (strong knowledge of SAP & MS Office)
