Managing team of 6-15 Global Supply Chain Planners based at hub, ensuring both, best in class planning and continuity of supply of GSK products to patients and customers, is provided.
Oversight of activities performed by planning operational team, ensuring E2E planning activities are followed as per agreed standard and deliverables agreed with E2E SC Planning Leads are met, delivering GSK products on time and at right quality and cost. Supervising that supply planning meets demand, focusing on operational task, resolving issues and filtering escalations. Leads Global Planners recruitment onboarding and training, capability building and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage and coach a team of Global Planners (6-15 direct reports depending on Therapy).
Allocates resources to meet deliverables agreed with E2E Planning Leads, develops team objectives, recognizes / addresses performance gaps, assesses employee training needs, and adjusts leadership style to enhance team performance.
Accountable to guarantee that planning processes are followed as per standard, providing guidance and support to the team for processes including monthly Core Commercial Cycle; financial budgeting and inventory management, collaborating with broader SC matrix.
Drive process standardization, process improvement, new systems and new digital tools implementation and adoption through close cooperation with key stakeholders such as: Sites functions, E2E Supply Chain Leads, Planning Directors, Capability Lead, Planning Operations and Excellence Director, Regional Teams, CMOs, Global Process Owner Team, Data Services, Finance and Procurement.
Lead the recruitment, onboarding and training for planners and ongoing capability improvement programs, including maintenance of the Subject Matter Expert network.
Oversee Master data creation and maintenance process for planning data in APO or OMP through all supply nodes, collaborating with Master Data Management service, as part of Data Governance.
Leads a robust performance management process to support operational planning excellence within the hub and continuous improvement culture driven by challenge, innovation and evolution.
Accountable to generate a supply plan that meets demand, resolving issues within internal scope (SCIM1) and assuring escalation to E2E Supply Chain Lead to resolve SCIM2 and SCIM3 issues.
Supports talent management in collaboration with E2E Leads and Directors, to develop robust and optimal succession and development plans for key roles, including support for early talent management processes.
Being ambassadors of GSK values and expectations and leading implementation of Modern Employee agenda within their Teams.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field.
Proven experience as a Planning Manager, preferably in Pharmaceuticals or FMCG, including interaction with sites and regional commercial operations.
Knowledge of supply chain processes and planning systems (APO, OMP or other planning optimizers).
Strong leadership and people-management skills; ability to influence and drive collaboration.
Excellent written/oral communication, presentation, and training skills; able to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
Advanced analytical, continuous-improvement and problem-solving skills.
Strong organisational, negotiation and decision‑making skills.
Self-starter and team player with active listening skills.
Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in Spanish, French or Italian.
Working model
This role is hybrid. You will be expected to work from our Poland office regularly and be available for in-person collaboration.
