Bayt.com to boost Egypt’s labor market through Virtual Job Fair Initiative

Bayt.com, the Middle East’s number one job site, has announced that Egypt will be its next destination in the series of Bayt.com Virtual Job Fairs, following the phenomenal success of Bayt’s previous fairs throughout the past year, and in a bid to boost the labor market in Egypt. Between12th and16th July inclusive, job seekers will be able to log on to the Bayt.com website, for the unique opportunity to search for jobs, submit their CVs and interact with employers - in what has been hailed as one of the most efficient convenient recruitment forums.

Bayt.com’s most recent pan regional VJF recorded more than80,000 total views, and received more than20,000 registrations from job seekers who actively interacted with participating employers - making it one of the most highly attended job fairs ever in the region. An average of30 employers was present, giving participating talented job seekers easy access to some of the best employment opportunities in the Middle East.

“We have now held several virtual job fairs across the Middle East region, and such fairs have proven to be a very efficient way for job seekers to actively find and apply for employment - all via one central and convenient location. Holding these VJFs demonstrates our commitment to providing a boost to the labor market especially during this global economic downturn, while showcasing how we develop innovative and easy methods to facilitate the process for employers to actively find, interact with, and recruit relevant job seekers; and for job seekers to easily research vacancies from some of the best employers in the country,” commented Bayt.com’s CTO, Akram Assaf.

With Wazayef Masr as a media partner, Bayt.com’s Egypt Virtual Job Fair will, as in previous Bayt.com VJFs, provide candidates with the easy and unique option to ‘attend’ the job fair from any Internet-accessible computer and submit their resumes to participating companies of interest at all times; while enabling local, regional and international employers to establish an active talent-seeking presence, without physically being in a location.

“We are very excited to be taking part in Bayt.com’s Egypt Virtual Job Fair. Wazayef Masr’s participation in this event as a Media Partner reiterates our utmost commitment to the market by continuously promoting employment across all industries and all career levels not solely in Egypt but on a regional level as well”, stated Mohamed Tahoun – Managing Director -Wazayef Masr.

This VJF, like its precedents, will feature animated3D “Virtual Booths” on Bayt’s website for different companies participating in the job fair, and just like in a physical job fair, each booth will be branded with the exhibitors’ names and logos and will provide access to a range of information about the company, including corporate culture, the company’s activities and recruitment practices.

Bayt.com’s virtual job fair will also provide a range of other benefits to job seekers. “The fact that this job fair will be fully online means that both unemployed and employed professionals who are currently seeking new employment, will be able to attend the it right from the confidentiality of their home or their office - the thing that will save them not only time, but also the costs of getting to a physical location,” said Assaf.

One of the innovative features of the virtual job fair will be a CV drop option for job seekers to directly submit their CV to the booths of their choice and directly apply for advertised jobs; another one is the landmark opportunity for employers and job seekers to interact in real time via online or video chat. A series of links will enable job seekers to connect to a directory of current vacancies in a particular company, avoiding the hassle of having to root through various job postings.

In terms of employer benefits, the virtual job fair will provide the ideal forum to increase brand awareness and visibility, and will allow organizations to advertise their job vacancies on the Middle East’s number one job site, which already has over3 million registered users from over94 industries and182 countries. Participating in the online job fair will also minimize the time, the hassle and resource requirements often associated with event management at a physical job fair allowing for cost savings of up to50% and could maximize an organization’s HR ROI. Post event; employers that participated will have the option to measure the success of the virtual job fair for their organization, with advanced and accurate reporting tools.

“More and more employers are beginning to understand the significant role that online recruitment plays in the global marketplace - and how it is perhaps the most practical method of interacting with job seekers today. We are looking forward to welcoming more of Egypt’s job seekers this year to find the job they’ve been looking for and for more employers to fill their talent gaps. In so doing we are fulfilling our role as the leading job site in the region that seeks to improve the Middle East’s labor market through practical, efficient and measurable means,” concluded Assaf.
