Position: Auto Electrician

Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled Auto Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, identifying faults, and repairing electrical wiring and computer-based equipment in motor vehicles and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Repairs and Maintenance:
   

   
   
   • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in motor vehicles and equipment.
     
   • Service, identify, and repair faults on electronically controlled vehicle systems such as electronic fuel injection, electronic ignition, anti-lock braking, cruise control, automatic transmission, airbags, and air conditioning.
     

2. Installation:
   

   
   
   • Install electrical equipment such as gauges, lighting, alternators, and starter motors in cars, and install electrically operated accessories.
     

3. Testing and Analysis:
   

   
   
   • Use meters and test instruments to find electrical faults.
     
   • Adjust engine control systems and timing to ensure vehicles are running at peak performance.
     

4. Maintenance and Service:
   

   
   
   • Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles.
     
   • Install new vehicle wiring systems and alarms, radios, and other electrical equipment.
     

5. Safety Compliance:
   

   
   
   • Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with industry safety and standards.
     
   • Regularly inspect equipment and maintain records of work completed.
     

Essential Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; further technical training is preferred.
  
• Proven experience as an Auto Electrician.
  
• Understanding of electrical systems and diagnostic equipment.

• In-depth knowledge of modern vehicular electrical systems.
  
• Complex problem-solving skills and a methodical mind.
  
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  
• Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.

Specific Criteria or Requirements:

• Valid driver's license.
  
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
  
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in uncomfortable positions for long periods.
