The Clinical Nurse is responsible for competently providing safe and effective care to patients and families. The Clinical Nurse assesses care needs, plans, and implements and evaluates programs of care. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for ensuring that all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard. The Clinical Nurse participates in the supervision and teaching of more junior and new members of staff within the unit. The Clinical Nurse is professionally accountable to the Chief Nursing Officer.
Sidra medicine is the only provider of pediatric cardiology service in Qatar (cardiac and EP intervention) due to the high demand from local and international patient and the complexity of our pediatric population cardiac Cath. lab service in outpatient and inpatient will require specific nursing skills and knowledge.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS – SELECTION CRITERIA
Education
ESSENTIAL
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (4 years) or Diploma in Nursing (3 years after post high school)
- Registered Nurse
PREFERRED
- Post graduate certificate in specialty if applicable in country of origin
Experience
- 2+ years of recent clinical nursing experience within the relevant specialty from a highly esteemed healthcare institution
- No minimum experience requirement for University of Calgary Qatar Graduates only
Certification and Licensure
- Valid professional Nursing license in country of origin
