Lead and manage all site construction activities from project commencement through successful completion. Develop and implement construction strategies, execution plans, and work sequences aligned with the approved project schedule. Oversee multidisciplinary site teams, including Construction Managers, Project Engineers, Site Engineers, General Foremen, Foremen, Supervisors, and field personnel. Direct, coordinate, and monitor subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution of all works. Ensure construction activities comply with approved shop drawings, project specifications, method statements, contract requirements, and quality standards. Coordinate closely with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless project execution. Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement effective recovery plans and corrective actions. Optimize the utilization of manpower, equipment, materials, and other construction resources. Chair daily, weekly, and monthly construction coordination meetings with internal teams and subcontractors. Review construction schedules, identify project risks, and implement appropriate mitigation measures. Resolve technical, operational, and site-related issues promptly to maintain project momentum. Evaluate subcontractor performance, productivity, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure all inspections, testing, and handover activities are completed in accordance with project requirements. Maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and housekeeping across all project sites. Participate in client meetings, progress reviews, management reporting, and executive presentations. Support commissioning, testing, snagging, final handover, and project close-out activities. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Skills
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum 18–20 years of experience in building construction. At least 12 years in a senior site leadership position with reputable main contracting companies. Mandatory experience working with leading contracting companies. Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, healthcare, or high-rise building projects. Previous experience working in Qatar or the GCC is mandatory. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary construction teams and manage multiple subcontractors. Experience delivering projects valued at QAR 500 million or above is highly preferred. Professional Certifications MMUP/UPDA Registration (Qatar) – Preferred. PMP Certification – Advantageous. Technical Competencies Strong expertise in reinforced concrete structures, structural steel, architectural finishes, and MEP coordination. Thorough understanding of construction methodologies, project execution, and construction sequencing. Excellent knowledge of Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), QatarEnergy requirements, and applicable local authority regulations. Strong understanding of contract administration and construction compliance. Proficient in reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Extensive knowledge of QA/QC procedures, HSE regulations, and industry best practices. Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management/reporting software. Excellent planning, organizational, leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, site resources, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively while ensuring successful project delivery.
