Job Title: Data Management Development Lead
Reporting To
Control & Services Head Role Purpose
Lead the development, management, and optimization of digital documentation systems, metadata, and tools to support engineering and construction projects. Drive digital transformation, improve data quality, and enable efficient access to technical documentation across the organization. Key Responsibilities
1. Data & Documentation Management
  • Structure, maintain, and enhance metadata for large volumes of technical documentation (~350,000 documents).
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with internal standards and numbering rules.
  • Manage document lifecycle including upload, updates, and integration into document management systems.
  • Ensure all technical documentation meets required digital formats (e.g., intelligent PDFs).
2. Application & Tool Development
  • Manage and enhance document viewing platforms and related interfaces.
  • Develop standalone viewers and integrate systems with enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, 3D models).
  • Lead development of dashboards, reporting tools, and automation solutions.
  • Support development of plugins and intelligent document tools.
3. Digital Transformation & Integration
  • Support digital twin initiatives and TAG-based data structures.
  • Build interfaces between document systems and digital platforms.
  • Contribute to data governance and process automation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT and data teams for system enhancements.
4. Project & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead projects including scope definition, planning, execution, and monitoring.
  • Coordinate with planning, document control, cost control, and engineering teams.
  • Act as key interface between engineering, data, and digital teams.
  • Manage contractors and validate deliverables and invoices.
5. Standards & Compliance
  • Maintain and update document control standards, numbering systems, and workflows.
  • Ensure alignment with internal policies and digital strategy.
  • Support implementation of best practices for data standardization and quality assurance.
6. HSE Responsibilities
  • Promote and comply with HSE standards and safety initiatives.
  • Improve documentation quality to reduce operational and safety risks.
Key Deliverables
  • High-quality metadata and structured documentation systems
  • Efficient document access and retrieval tools
  • Accurate dashboards and reporting systems
  • Integrated digital tools supporting project controls
Qualifications & Experience
  • 15+ years of experience in document control and data management in large industrial/EPC projects
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Power BI, SQL
    • SAP, Primavera P6
    • Data integration and reporting tools
  • Working knowledge of Python, AI, and ML (intermediate level)
  • Experience in digital transformation and document digitization
  • Strong understanding of project controls (EVM, KPIs, risk management)
  • Proven leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in English
Work Environment
  • Office-based role with possible site visits (onshore/offshore)
  • Standard working hours, 5 days per week
  • High interaction with cross-functional teams
