Possessing advanced knowledge and skills in first aid and CPR and being able to provide effective emergency medical care.
Skills
Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous activities such as swimming, pulling people from the water, and administering first aid.
Must be knowledgeable about the various risks and dangers associated with swimming and water activities, and be able to identify potential hazards before they become emergencies.
Must be able to pull and carry heavy loads, such as rescue equipment or injured swimmers, as needed.
Must be able to effectively use rescue equipment, such as backboards or oxygen masks.
