Nursery Manager (Horticulture)

The Role:

This is a key role working as part of our professional team, assisting the Team Manager to ensure

the highest standards of horticulture, as part of a great team responsible for managing a largest and most diverse ecological gardens.

As a Nursery Manager you will:

• Handle the daily operation of the Nursery team, ensuring high standards of horticulture and visitor experience, directing, and organizing activities as agreed with Team Manager.
• Responsible for the nursery operation, including 5 organic nursery for Plant Collections including native species programmes, plant propagation, and management of the planting in various tropical houses and feature gardens
• Be responsible for the work programming and daily operations and lead permaculture, and voluntary work placements as delegated and required by TM.
• Be responsible for routine one-to-one meetings of permaculture /Horticulturists and Lead
• Horticulturists, managing and supporting their training and professional development.
• Contribute towards Heenat Salma conservation, research, education, and visitor experience objectives, in line with the organic and ecological collection plan, Conservation Masterplan (CMP) and Strategic Development Plan (SDP).
• Deputise for the Team Manager as directed.
• Represent and promote Heenat Salma Farm, ensuring an excellent external reputation.
