Urgent Hiring – QA/QC Engineer (CAT III Projects) | Qatar
Location: Onshore - Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC), Qatar
Contract Duration: 2 Years
Schedule: 6 Days/Week | 10 Hours/Day

Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer (CAT III Projects) to serve as the quality focal point between EPC Contractors, Company Project Teams, and Subcontractors, ensuring full QA/QC compliance throughout engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, mechanical completion, and handover phases of LNG and offshore projects.
The role will provide quality leadership, oversee project QA/QC activities, coordinate source inspections, manage NCRs, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with company, industry, and international quality standards. Key Responsibilities
✅ Lead and coordinate QA/QC activities across EPC project phases.
✅ Review and approve contractor quality deliverables including:
  • Project Quality Plans (PQP)
  • Project Execution Plans (PEP)
  • Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Welding Procedures (WPS)
  • Welder Qualifications (WQT)
  • Criticality Rating Assessments
✅ Conduct and lead:
  • Quality audits
  • Verification activities
  • Vendor assessments
  • Pre-inspection meetings
  • QA/QC coordination meetings
✅ Manage NCR/CAR process:
  • NCR issuance
  • Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
  • Corrective actions
  • Close-out verification
✅ Coordinate:
  • Onshore and offshore inspections
  • Third-party source inspection activities
  • Vendor manufacturing surveillance
✅ Ensure mechanical acceptance readiness and project completion.
✅ Review and interpret:
  • RT films
  • NDE reports
  • Welding documentation
  • Coating and painting inspections
✅ Support source inspection management programs and vendor quality surveillance.
✅ Participate in shutdown campaigns involving:
  • MOV Overhauling
  • SDV Maintenance
  • Valve Testing and Reinstatement
Mandatory Qualifications & Certifications
Education
✔ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline
Mandatory Certifications
CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector (Minimum)
ASNT Level II Certifications:
  • UT (Ultrasonic Testing)
  • RT (Radiographic Testing)
  • PT (Dye Penetrant Testing)
  • MT/MPT (Magnetic Particle Testing)
✔ ISO 9001:2015 Internal/Lead Auditor Certification (IRCA or Equivalent)
✔ Valid TBOSIET Certification (Preferred)
✔ H2S Certification
✔ Breathing Apparatus Certification
✔ Offshore Medical Certificate Mandatory Experience
Minimum Experience
✔ 10+ years in Oil & Gas Industry
✔ Offshore Brownfield & Greenfield Projects
✔ LNG Facilities Modification & Shutdown Projects
