Job DescriptionOverview

Seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with 12+ years of experience in the supervision, coordination, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems for mission-critical data center projects. The role will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of HV/LV power infrastructure, backup power systems, and electrical distribution networks while maintaining compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and operational reliability requirements.


Your role
  • Supervise electrical construction activities for data center projects to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and project requirements.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of HV and LV electrical systems, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution equipment.
  • Monitor the installation and operation of emergency power systems including generators, fuel systems, UPS systems, batteries, and associated controls.
  • Review electrical shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions for compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, civil, structural, architectural, ICT, and specialist vendor installations.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality audits to verify workmanship, installation standards, and material compliance.
  • Supervise installation and testing of earthing, bonding, and lightning protection systems.
  • Monitor cable routing, cable containment systems, power distribution networks, and equipment terminations.
  • Witness factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), pre-commissioning activities, and performance testing.
  • Review energization procedures and ensure safe execution of electrical system energization activities.
  • Support integrated systems testing (IST), commissioning, and operational readiness activities for mission-critical facilities.
  • Identify and resolve electrical design, construction, and interface issues in coordination with project stakeholders.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with project quality requirements, safety standards, and construction schedules.
  • Review inspection requests, testing records, commissioning reports, and QA/QC documentation.
  • Monitor contractor progress, resource allocation, and productivity, reporting risks and recommending corrective actions when required.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings and provide technical input on electrical engineering matters.
  • Support authority inspections, client witnessing activities, snagging inspections, and final project handover processes.
  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and project status reports for client and consultant management teams.
About you
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. UPDA/MMUP Grade A
  • Data Center Experience [ at least 1 project is delivered in the last 5 years] Mandatory.
  • 12+ years of experience.
  • HV/LV systems, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, earthing, lightning protection, power distribution, testing, energisation and commissioning. Data centre or mission-critical power systems experience preferred.
