Your role
We are looking for someone who would like to join our scrum team and support us with the following:
• drive solution architectures for cloud applications leveraging Big Data technology such as Spark, Kafka, Hadoop and AI/ML solutions
• ensure solutions adhere to Business and IT processes to meet compliance and governance requirements
• work in collaboration with CTOs, IT leads, data scientists and other SMEs
• lead and mentor junior-to-mid-level engineers
• engage in the development of a new platform
• help to implement client-focused cloud applications collaboratively with colleagues around the world

Your team
You will be joining an advanced analytics platform team in Doha, Qatar . We offer you a highly motivated and collaborative agile environment to develop Big data and AI applications. Our goal is to enable UBS for a digital and analytical future! You'll participate in all phases of the development lifecycle and you are responsible to design, document and support the development of innovative applications. This senior role includes significant responsibilities, development possibilities and the chance to drive new solutions for us in a pivotal area.
Your expertise
• minimum 15 years of total experience with at least 3 years of experience working as a Big Data architect
• hands-on experience in Python
• experience in DevOps/DataOPs/ MLOps
• hands-on experience with Cloudera Data Platform and its security services
• experience on Devops/ DataOps/ MLOps practices using CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code (automation, e.g., through Ansible/Terraform)
• experience with Agile SAFe
• good abstraction and conceptual skills, able to translate business visions into illustrated technical design solutions
• fluent in English with the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms
