Job Description

JOB SUMMARY


The Specialist - Compensations provides expertise and guidance in establishing and maintaining Sidra’s compensation framework. The position holder works on various aspects within the portfolio to re-engineer compensation initiatives. 


KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Receives and investigates salary inquiries raised by department management for promotions and salary increases. Prepares recommendations and follows up as required.
  • Participates in Sidra Medicine salary and compensation reviews and other HR surveys and performs financial impact analysis to support implementation of decisions.
  • Processes all the employee approved change requests (i.e. Promotions, Salary adjustment, title change, re-classification and re-evaluation).
  • Suggests enhancement to the related (ECR) automated solution.
  • Reviews and process Employee Change Requests (ECR).
  • Reviews Sidra’s tax assistance and protection program in collaboration with Sidra approved vendor.
  • Processes Medical & Life Insurance operations across Sidra.
  • Ensures e-files are updated timely and accurately.
  • Supports line manager with executive compensation management.
  • Recommends changes to rewards offerings by designing low cost solutions.
  • Plans, develops and participates in industry wide surveys.
  • Recommends the reports, data-cuts required to ensure that market survey reports are leveraged and best utilized.
  • Uses the principles of Data science to derive optimum Reward solutions and delivers insights to colleagues and managers for supporting their work.
  • Designs and maintains Sidra C&B tools (Calculators) and relevant framework changes.
  • Advises improvements and changes to line manager regarding Rewards processes, policies and programs.
  • Contributes to development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
  • Designs and publishes compensation and rewards reports and dashboards.
  • Conducts high end data analysis to derive meaningful results supporting the compensation and rewards strategy.
  • Plans effectively for Rewards projects and ensures timely completion.
  • Adopts a systems approach to compensation and rewards activities integrating HR department’s processes and HR Systems effectively.
  • Manages the project timelines with IT or external vendor for projects.
  • Reviews results of UAT and production to suggest future system enhancement.
  • Participates in pay negotiations by researching and analyzing market data, preparing recommendations and highlighting any equity issues.
  • Oversees the advisory provided to the respective department on basic salary, benefits and resolves complicated pay related issues.
  • Educates and supports HR colleagues for existing and new compensation & rewards initiatives, policies and programs.
  • Works closely with HR department to gain understanding of organizational structure, job design and evaluation.
  • Provides advice to payroll and benefits team on compensation and policy related matters.
  • Supervises junior staff members and steps up for the line manager during leave periods. 
  • Collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders, like survey partners, peer organizations and other vendors as required.
  • Answers queries raised by the branches and arranges meeting with them, if required.

QUALIFICAITON & EXPERIENCE


Education


Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Organizational Design or a relevant quantitative based Science discipline


Experience


5+ years of experience in compensation and benefits, which includes benchmarking, plan design, salary management, HR administration and supporting a diverse workforce
