Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar.


Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a newly established IB World School in Doha, Qatar, offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting teachers across phases to deliver outstanding learning experiences and ensuring every student has the support they need to succeed.


The role:


We seek an individual to join as Teaching Assistant where your focus will be:


  • Supporting class teachers in delivering high-quality, differentiated learning experiences in line with the IB PYP and MYP frameworks
  • Working with individual students, small groups or the whole class as directed, providing targeted and effective in-class support
  • Helping to prepare resources, materials and the learning environment ahead of lessons
  • Assisting students in accessing the curriculum, fostering independence, resilience and a genuine love of learning
  • Promoting positive behaviour and supporting the school's behaviour for learning expectations
  • Contributing to the monitoring and documentation of student progress, including portfolio evidence
  • Supporting the use of ICT and learning technology in the classroom
  • Contributing positively to the wider life of EGA and the school community

The Successful Candidate will possess:


  • A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (e.g. CACHE, NVQ Level 3)
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant in a school setting
  • Ability to support differentiated learning for students with a range of abilities and needs
  • Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
  • Organised, reliable and able to use initiative and work effectively as part of a team
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children
  • Experience in an international or IB school desirable
