CLEANER-CLEANING

Main Purpose of the Job

•To work within the guidelines set out in the Housekeeping Operational Manual about cleaning methods, chemical usage, service, quality, H&S, environment, and safe working practices

Main Competencies required for the Position

·Other languages, especially Arabic is an advantage.

Practical experience should include Health and Safety requirements and regulations related to the various works encountered in the Operation and Maintenance field, Fire Fighting basic practices, First Aid assistance.

Main Duties / Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of the cleaning and waste removal services in accordance with the soft services standards as directed.
• Operate mechanical floor cleaners and polishers.
• Learn and assist with the pest control program.
• Provide active participation in teamwork and work accomplishment.
• Contribute to promoting a safe environment within the buildings and areas for all end-users.
• Maintain the appropriate standards of hygiene, uniform, appearance, posture, and conduct of the housekeeping staff.
• Must follow the Rules and Regulations of the department and contribute to the safety of the housekeepers at work.
• Appraise one's own output and participate in the departmental and external training programs to gain more knowledge
• Maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.
• Works co-operatively with customers/stakeholders, maintaining regular, consistent, and clear communications.Minimum qualifications / educational levels required for this position

·Must have a high school certificate.

·Must understand and speak English and have a working knowledge of Arabic.

What minimum experience is required for this position

·Must have two (2years experience in the same field.

·Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Housekeeper / Cleaner in similar facilities.
