Job Description

Summary

Serves as communications advisor and provides professional support overseeing and execution of strategic communications initiatives/plans, branding, marketing and optimization projects. Leads in maintaining positive and productive relations with the media customers, related government agencies and community leaders or organizations.



Essential Responsibilities and Duties

1. Develops and maintains strong and reputable brand name, which contributes in enhancing the image of the Hospital.



2. Collaborates with other key individuals within the Hospital in order to develop and execute professional communications plans for the Hospital’s services.



 3. Sets the Corporate Communication and Marketing strategy and plan including the assessment of opportunities and implications of initiatives and activities. Understands the needs of the Hospital to develop collaborative strategies.



4. Provides general and detailed consultations to department personnel engagement in planning, preparing and producing media-related materials (audio-visual production services and photography, illustration and printing).



5. Participates in developing, implementing, and updating the Public Relations and Media Affairs' mission, goals, objectives, policies and procedures and other related documents to reflect the Hospital’s on-going mission and objectives.



6. Assesses public opinion in relation to the Hospital established goals and recommends new approaches, formulates policies and procedures related to public information programs to enhance continues improvement in institutional services.



7. Reviews and enhances operations/process of the department to ensure that Hospital maintains and enhances its world class reputation of patient care management.



8. Plans and develops strategies and responses to any crisis situation that could adversely impact the Hospital. Establishes long-range of objectives linked to the overall department's strategies.



9. Advises heads of Hospital departments on the design of new media techniques and displays which can be potentially effective on new and proposed programs.



10. Handles and monitors the Hospital news releases for important events and coordinates with press, radio and television programs to disseminate information about the Hospital accomplishments, new medical and research discoveries, new equipment or facilitates and other items of general interest to promote the image of the Hospital.



11. Oversees day-to-day news bureau activities involving management of breaking news, handling of media and other public inquiries, and coordination with the activities, assignments, and priorities the organization.



12. Provides inputs for revising department policies and procedures and acts as a change leader to assist with the implementation of any new or revised policies and procedures



Education

Master’s, or Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Marketing, Media, and Public Relations or other related discipline is required.



Experience Required

At least seven (7) years with Master’s or nine (9) years with Bachelor’s Degree of related experience including three (3) years in a managerial/ seniority position is required



Other Requirements(Certificates)

Saudi National Only.?



Professional Certificate (Media & Global Communications, strategic Communication Management, etc.) is preferred.
