Role Purpose
Manage the costs of the construction programme, ensuring adherence to the enterprise procedures, providing accurate and timely reports and data for decision making and audits.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Cost management, accruals, invoicing and forecasting
- Ensure the implementation of the Enterprise processes for cost management, accruals, forecasting, cost reporting and invoicing across all subregions
- Prepare accruals on a monthly basis, checking the calculations and adherence to procedures from the cost managers and PMC in each sub-region,
- Collect of actual costs and preparation of forecasts for each sub-region on a weekly basis, consolidate and report to senior management;
- Maintain the overall cost database and Unfier
- Manage the trend and change process, including review of change papers and preparation for Change Board
- Budgeting process for the annual cycles and forecast reviews;
- Liaise and collaborate with the Finance Business Partner to ensure alignment of budgets and cost codes across all subregions
- Liaise and collaborate with the Project Controls team to ensure alignment of cost forecasts with the planning of procurement and construction activities.
Reporting & Audit support
- Prepare cost reports from all subregions
- Identify cost trends and corrective actions
- Report on approved change and manage the trend process with input from all subregions
- Prepare the monthly accruals reports
- Support end of year audits and ad-hoc reviews as required
People management
- Manage PMC and work load of the team to meet deadlines for reporting
BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 10+ years experience in cost or commercial management
- Experience in cost management tools (Unifier, SAP, CostOS, Prism, EcoSys or similar)
- Experience in commercial and contract management
- Proficient with MS Excel and ability to manage large quantity of data
- Be able to communicate and support teams members in executing their task
- Be able to communicate to senior management in a clear an concise form
