Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Industry: Banking / Financial Services Department: Information Technology Job Summary: We are seeking experienced Database Developers to join our banking technology team in Riyadh.
The successful candidates will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise database solutions across multiple database platforms, including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
The role requires strong expertise in database development, performance tuning, data integration, and supporting mission-critical banking applications.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
Develop and optimize SQL queries to ensure high performance and scalability.
Create and maintain ETL processes and data migration solutions.
Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
Support application development teams with database design and implementation.
Ensure data integrity, security, availability, and compliance with banking standards.
Develop and maintain database documentation, technical specifications, and data dictionaries.
Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
Monitor database health, capacity planning, and performance metrics.
Participate in database upgrades, patching, and environment migrations.
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to deliver database solutions.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and banking best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in database development and administration.
Strong hands-on experience with: Microsoft SQL Server Oracle Database PostgreSQL MongoDB Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and database programming concepts.
Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
Knowledge of database security, backup, recovery, and high availability solutions.
Experience with data integration and ETL tools is preferred.
Experience within the banking or financial services sector is highly preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
