Design Interface Coordinator

The role requires effective communication and coordination between different design teams involved in the stadium project's steel works. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all design elements align with project specifications, deadlines, and budgetary constraints. You will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to streamline the design process and resolve any interface issues promptly.

• Design Coordination:
  • Facilitate coordination meetings between various design teams to ensure alignment of design elements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate steel works seamlessly into the overall stadium design.
• Interface Management:
  • Identify potential interface issues between different design disciplines and proactively implement measures to resolve them.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for design-related queries and issues, fostering open communication channels between all stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct regular reviews of design documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and discrepancies in design outputs.
• Schedule Adherence:
  • Work closely with project managers to develop and maintain design schedules, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Monitor progress against established timelines and identify areas for optimization to avoid delays.
• Risk Mitigation:
  • Identify potential risks and challenges related to design interfaces and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to address design-related risks and ensure project success.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of design principles, construction techniques, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with project management software.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing design interface challenges.
• Excellent English language skills. Additional languages, especially Arabic can be a plus.
• Open to work across all countries of the Middle East.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in design coordination or interface management, preferably in large-scale construction projects involving steel works.
• Experienced in Stadium projects is highly preferred.
• Extensive experience in client-facing roles, able to effectively engage and manage client interactions.
