Job Description

  • Analyze blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical specifications to identify materials, labor, and equipment needed for O&M projects.
  • Research and obtain quotes from vendors and subcontractors specializing in O&M services.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates that factor in materials, labor, equipment rentals, permits, and potential risks specific to O&M projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, facility engineers, and maintenance crews to ensure estimates are accurate and feasible.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate cost estimates and project details to stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, equipment lifecycles, and maintenance best practices to ensure estimates reflect current market conditions.
  • May participate in site visits to assess project complexity and gather additional information.


Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of [3-5] years of experience in O&M cost estimating or a relevant field.
  • Proven ability to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for maintenance and repair projects.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations for O&M projects is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
