Fault and Performance Management Engineer

Job Purpose:

FM/PM Engineer will be responsible for handling demand, delivery, and operations related tasks, ensuring the smooth functioning of our applications by monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing performance metrics while quickly identifying and resolving faults or issues. Your strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities will be crucial in identifying and resolving the root cause of any issues that arise. Responsibilities include monitoring performance, analyzing metrics for improvement, troubleshooting faults, deploying monitoring tools, collaborating with teams, documenting procedures, and staying updated on industry trends.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure seamless integration of FM/PM system with other systems, technologies, and processes.
  
• Ensure the smooth operation and performance of the Fault and Performance Management applications, troubleshooting any issues that arise and implementing necessary solutions.
  
• Implement and maintain best practices for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on network performance, ensuring that key metrics are met.
  
• Coordinate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and prioritize tasks to ensure the efficient delivery of the services.
  
• Conduct regular system audits to identify and resolve operational issues or vulnerabilities.
  
• Monitor system resources and highlight any abnormalities to the concerned team.
  
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends in order to propose and implement improvements to FM/PM system to keep it competitive and efficient.
  
• Continuously monitoring the performance of telecommunications or network systems, including equipment, devices, and infrastructure, to ensure optimal operation and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  
• Providing complete management of FM/PM system in whole project lifecycle, in Analysis, Design, Testing and Implementation, and maintenance. 
  
• Supports work assignments in accordance with departmental or agency objectives; keep an eye on production standards and capabilities and ensures the maintenance of adequate quality and quantity of work.
  
• Handling the scope related to devices monitoring and did proper implementation in FM/PM system.
  
• Design, develop, and maintain FM/PM system to the specific needs of network services which can include integration, data enrichment, root cause, impact analysis and more.
  
• Ensure that various systems within the network ecosystem can seamlessly integrate with each other. This includes integrating with partner systems and third-party applications.
  
• Implement automation scripts and processes to streamline network operations, reducing manual effort and improving efficiency.
  
• Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of FM/PM system to ensure that meet service-level agreements (SLAs) and performance targets.
  
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for FM/PM system, including system architecture, codebase, APIs, and data structures.
  
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, operations teams, and business analysts, to understand requirements and design/develop solutions that align with business goals including the testing of developed solution.
  
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for FM/PM system, including troubleshooting issues, applying updates, and ensuring system availability.
  
• Oversee the end-to-end release management process, ensuring seamless coordination, testing, and deployment of software updates and enhancements.
  
• Deliver clear and insightful presentations to stakeholders, conveying technical information and project updates effectively.
