RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILTY & AUTHORITY:
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and review of accurate and timely financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Monthly close: Delivering a timely and accurate monthly close, in accordance with US and local statutory GAAP and bridging across to HFM. Local statutory reporting: Support the preparation of local statutory accounts and annual external audit process. Change management: Leadership role in business process improvements and changes. Internal controls and Sox compliance: Establish and maintain robust internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements including Sarbanes Oxley. Team Leadership: Lead and develop the accounting teams of the assigned business units providing mentorship and guidance. Tax Compliance: Support the direct and indirect tax compliance and filing requirements. Performing other duties or participating on special projects as assigned by management.
BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & REQUIRED:
Professional Qualified accountant, member of a recognized professional accounting body. Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS Experience of working in Oracle and Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and other relevant IT systems is essential. Previous experience in an international or multinational organization and in oil and gas industry is preferred. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Tier 1 Professional Accounting Qualifications (Chartered Accountant from a reputable institute, ACCA or US CPA) 10 years’ experience in finance function, including 5 Years in managerial or supervisory roles. 10 years’ experience in finance function, including 5 Years in managerial or supervisory roles.
