Job Description
General Manager is responsible to ensure profitability by overseeing the various departments which include variable operations (retail and fleet sales), fixed operations (service & parts), and the business office (accounting & administration).
Duties of the general manager include but are certainly not limited to, planning, motivating, and coordinating corporate management through leadership and solid business practices.
- Planning and developing short and long-term goals and objectives annually and submitting time projections to corporate management for approval.
- Paying close attention to daily operations, recommending and creating improved courses of action where necessary.
- Coordinating regular meetings with the managers of each department to ensure their profitability and efficiency.
- Focusing on any customer complaints that department managers are unable to rectify and taking the necessary steps to resolve these complaints.
- Oversee daily operations, remedy customer complaints promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction metrics are met.
- Implement growth strategies that align with the company’s objectives by carefully assessing profit and loss while maintaining vehicle inventory that meets the needs of the local market,
- Provides guidance to the Regional Managers of sales, services, Operations, finance, and auto parts on issues impacting the business or staffing...etc.
- Understands and ensures compliance with warranty and policy procedures.
- Review reports to identify trends in data, and strategies with sales, parts, and services managers on addressing best practices on how to monitor, resolve, or resources are available.
- Monitors the performance of the service, parts, and body shop departments.
- Coach the sales team on proper closing techniques through training and active participation.
- Spend time with customers to determine their needs, discuss vehicle options, and assist sales team members in closing deals.
- Monitor and analyze salespeople's performance
- Ensures the agreed-upon KPIs are achieved as per the agreed quality, time & cost.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree, MBA, or similar required
- A minimum of 15 years of experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communications, organization, and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of the automotive industry is preferred.
- Previous experience in the GCC is preferred, especially if the experience was in Saudi Arabia
- Fluent in English – Arabic language fluency preferred
- Arabs or Saudi Nationals are preferred for this position.
